It has been a terrific two weeks off, but tomorrow I go back to work so today I spent the afternoon doing a little work to set up my day tomorrow. It felt so good! I think that is because I really allowed myself time to relax and not think about all the things waiting for me when I get back. I am giving myself a pat on the back for using this time for myself and not worrying about what I could be doing.
I spent the afternoon reviewing teacher manuals for a new reading program that my school district will be adopting. I am starting to get excited about this new adventure we are embarking on. I have a plan going now, I understand the materials and I can hardly wait to share with my team of educators. They did an amazing job reviewing and then selecting and they deserve all my efforts to make sure the program works because as I 
always say, “Enjoying reading is the most important thing you can teach a child!” (That is in addition to being able to read.)
Yeah 2018 – it is going to be an adventure both inside and outside of work
