Done! Week 5 of Yoga Teacher Training, 6/29/2020

I thrilled to be three quarters of the way through the training and am feeling strongly that it was a very, very good decision. This past weekend because we had anatomy class in the afternoon and the instructor packed so much into the morning practice and teaching, that I was exhausted by the time we got to the studio for anatomy. Once there, again we had to do teaching but … it was so much more fun that I expected and I rallied!

Doing a yoga teacher training online is difficult for everyone because you don’t have that personal connection that we all crave. While the instructor teaches, he has to scan everyone’s window to see if they are doing what he asked. When we try to teach, we need to do the same thing, and while it is good for the mind, knowing each step, and looking to verbally assist when needed, it is so much better having real people whose energy adds to yours to guide through a practice.

I am learning so much more than I ever thought I would and the more I learn, the more I realize I don’t know and have yet to learn. I am loving it. I feel stronger, sleep better, am more relaxed and less anxious. Now I will just have to see as I work on my class for the final if I can maintain this wonderful, peaceful, calm state of mind.
